  6. Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act: A review of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.

  7. Closing Disclosure Preparation: A review of closing disclosure preparation.

  8. Contracts for Deed, Options: A review of contracts for deed and options.

  9. License Status & Education Issues: A review of selected real estate license status and education issues.

Course Structure

The course is divided into seven sections:

  1. Basic Selected Contract Law Concepts (1.5 hours)

  2. Real Estate Sales Contract Preparation (12 hours)

  3. Sales Contract Procedures (2 hours)

  4. Closing Preparations and Procedures (2 hours)

  5. TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule (TRID) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) (2 hours)

  6. The Settlement Statement (6.75 hours)

  7. Other Topics (Alternate Conveyance Contracts; License Status and Education Issues) (0.75 hours)

The course concludes with a closed-book, proctored end-of-course examination.
