Free Accredited Buyer Representative Designation

By now you have probably seen all the posts about the "FREE ABR Designation!" being offered to members of the National Association of REALTORs (NAR) but is it really free? Keep reading to find out!

Earning your ABR® designation is a testament to your commitment to providing exceptional service to buyer-clients. The process is designed to instill the highest standards of excellence in all designees, ensuring that you're well-equipped to navigate the complexities of buyer representation. Here’s how you can embark on this rewarding journey at a fraction of the cost:

Step 1: The ABR® Designation Course

Cost: $0.00

Kickstart your path by enrolling in the ABR® Designation Course (regularly $300+). This comprehensive course will deepen your understanding of buyer representation, covering essential topics to enhance your skills. A score of 80% or higher on the final exam is required to pass. Best of all, through the end of the year, this course is available for free!

Step 2: Elective Course

Cost: $99.00+

Further your expertise by completing one qualifying elective course. These courses not only complement your ABR® designation but may also count toward other designations or certifications. A cost-effective and highly recommended option is the At Home With Diversity® (AHWD) Certification Course, currently priced at $99 for REALTOR® members.

Step 3: Confirmed Transactions

Demonstrate your proficiency in buyer representation by finalizing five transactions as the sole buyer's representative, including up to two leases. These transactions showcase your ability to apply your knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios, reinforcing your commitment to serving buyers with the highest standard of care.

Step 4: Active Status

Cost: First Year Free, then $110/year

Once you have completed Steps 1-3 then the only thing left to do is apply for the Designation! Once approved, you'll just need to maintain your active and good membership status in both the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) and the National Association of REALTORS®. With REBAC membership free for the first year and $110 annually thereafter, staying connected with this community of professionals is not only beneficial for your career growth but also ensures you remain at the forefront of buyer representation excellence.

Why Earn Your ABR® Designation?

Earning your ABR® designation opens doors to a network of professionals dedicated to the same high standards of buyer representation you are. It signifies to prospective clients your commitment to providing the highest level of service, setting you apart in the competitive real estate market. Moreover, the skills and knowledge gained through the ABR® coursework empower you to navigate buyer transactions with greater confidence and efficiency.

By now we are sure you have added up that is not exactly free like many are saying, but it's still a really good deal! For about $100, you can earn a designation that not only enhances your skill set but also elevates your career to new heights.

Don’t let this opportunity pass you by!
