How to Make Snow Days Count

After having a nice break from Winter Weather in much of 2020 and 2021, Mother Nature appears to be back with a vengeance this year with back-to-back snowstorms. Granted, snow days are a little different now that Zoom is a thing, it’s still usually a day where most people’s normal schedule is disrupted in some way, and as agents, we should take advantage of this!

Snow Days = Show Days

If you and your clients can get out and safely look at some homes, you should! Some people won’t want to leave their house in the cold and others may be unable, but if you can make it out to see homes it may put you and your clients in an advantageous position to submit an offer on a home before the seller is bombarded with other offers.

Virtual Showings

If you and your clients can’t make it out on the snow day, consider doing some virtual showings with your clients by meeting with them on Zoom or even Facetime, to browse homes online together. This will also give you an opportunity to show your client how to use your website or app to search for homes, instead of Zillow. At the end of the meeting, you should have a list of homes to go see when the sun comes out!

Check-in on your sphere

Checking in with past clients to see if they are okay during the storm is a great way to show that you truly care about them. Showing your clients that you are thinking of them in times like this is sure to touch their hearts and keep you top of mind for their next real estate need. For the best results send personalized texts or even a phone call, instead of sending a generic email blast to your entire mailing list.

Another way to make great use of your snow day is to take some online real estate classes!
